The Sims 4 was a major letdown at launch, with many features that fans had loved from the previous titles completely missing - such as The Sims 3’s Create a Style option and building swimming pools. This lackluster release was quickly corrected through updates and expansion packs, but the game still misses out on many key features. Maxis will need to include a lot of these missing features while developing The Sims 5, while also improving the world design and making the overall game a bit more realistic....

U.S. District Court Judge Richard Brooke Jackson issued a preliminary order Friday evening blocking the police from using pepper spray and kinetic projectiles on non-violent demonstrators—unless authorized by an officer at the rank of captain or above in response to a specific disturbance. According to Jackson’s order, rubber bullets are, without exception, forbidden from being used indiscriminately, and pepper spray can only be deployed once protesters have been given a verbal order to clear the scene and have had a fair opportunity to do so....

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk described the bleak circumstances of residents of the war-battered city in a nationally televised speech, Ukrainska Pravda reported Wednesday. Vereshchuk’s update comes days after Russian forces claimed to have captured Lysychansk, one of Ukraine’s last holdouts in a strategically significant area. Vereshchuk, who also serves as minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, said in her speech that about 10,000 to 12,000 people remain in Lysychansk after most residents fled the city....

Nicholas Adam Ecker, 28, was arrested and charged in connection with the fire in Johnson County Court on Monday, according to local media. Authorities are continuing to investigate the fire that started early Sunday morning. It occurred near West 69th Terrace and Larsen Lane in Shawnee at around 1:00 a.m. local time on Sunday. Investigators said the baby was pronounced dead at the scene and there were no other people injured in the fire, according to a Fox 4 report....

In court filings in Manhattan Supreme Court, Michael Rocha claimed Dunaway, 78, called him “a little homosexual boy” and made other rude remarks about his sexuality, and “regularly and relentlessly subjected [Rocha] to abusive demeaning tirades.” Rocha was hired by producers in April to help Dunaway with errands, appointments, taking medication and getting to and from rehearsal. Paid $1,500 per week, he worked out of her East 57th Street apartment, according to Page Six....

Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass reported that NASCAR is working with law enforcement to determine whether a crime was committed. NASCAR said it is conducting its own investigation and would eliminate from the sport whoever was responsible. “Regardless of whether federal charges can be brought, this type of action has no place in our society,” U.S. Attorney Jay Town said in a statement. The bill, known as the Merger Filing Fee Modernization Act, updates the filing fees that merging companies pay to law enforcement to review their transactions. Following the FDA authorization, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advisory panel unanimously voted in favor of the booster for people aged over 65 and for residents of long-term care facilities. FDA officials are investigating whether the cereal after thousands of people complained on consumer website iwaspoisoned that they had become ill. Newsweek found dozens of consumers had complained about having suffered cases of vomiting, diarrhea and nausea, all symptoms of food poisoning. According to the Associated Press (AP), the FDA said in a Saturday, April 16 statement: “The FDA takes seriously any reports of possible adulteration of a food that may also cause illness or injury....

Last month, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning against the use of a selection of hand sanitizers potentially containing methanol, which can “be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested and can be life-threatening when ingested,” the FDA noted in a statement this month. The list of hand sanitizers under the warning has been updated recently, with 42 more products added this month from July 8 to 10, including several which have been recommended for recall....
